The Free or Reduced-Price Meal applications are now available online at https://www.schoolcafe.com/ . To complete the application, log in to your School Café account or create a new account.
A NEW application must be submitted each new school year, even for those who have previously been a part of the meals program. Each household should submit only one application identifying any school children. The application will determine a child’s eligibility for free and reduced-price meals and may assist in the determination of eligibility for other state or federal benefits.
Parents should apply online*. Online applications are processed faster than paper applications and approval or denial of benefits may be online as soon as the application has been processed. Paper applications are only available in the school office at each school and can take up to 10 days to process for benefits.
Decisions regarding payment for school meals are made at the national-government level, not by the food service team or TDA. The dedicated staff at Lone Oak ISD is looking forward to serving healthy, balanced meals to students in the new school year. These meals, whether paid, free, or reduced-price, will offer a good source of nutrition for our children.
