  • As COVID-19 continues to spread and develop, Lone Oak ISD continues to prioritize the health and safety of its students, employees, and families. As we receive new guidance from the CDC, we will do our best to evaluate the changes and communicate how LOISD will implement these changes in order to keep our community safe. 

     

    As of December 27, 2021, the CDC has shortened the self-quarantine and isolation periods for those who have been exposed, come into close contact, or contracted the COVID-19 virus. It is recommended for anyone, regardless of vaccination status, to isolate for 5 days if you test positive for COVID-19. Lone Oak ISD further recommends that if you have come into close contact with someone who has a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 that you stay home for 5 days. If symptoms appear, it is recommended that you get tested. Wearing a mask for 10 days from a positive test or 10 days from symptom onset (whichever comes first) is highly recommended by the CDC.
